Day 1: Arrival and Welcome to Accra

  • Morning: Arrive in Accra and transfer to accommodation.

  • Afternoon: Free time to settle & explore the surrounding area or take advantage of quality beauty services.

Day 2: City Tour and Create Custom African Clothing

  • Morning: Breakfast

  • Afternoon: City tour of Accra top spots, including a visit to the bustling Makola Market, a vibrant hub of local women traders selling everything from fresh produce to traditional textiles & souvenirs.

  • Create your African garment: shop for vibrant fabrics, get measured & see your tailored African garment come to life.

  • Evening: Dinner at Alora Beach Club, with options to enjoy seafood specialties and live music performances.

Day 3: Afro Future Cultural Festival & Volunteer Experience

  • Morning: Breakfast

  • Late Morning: Volunteer at a local community center, spending time with women & children distributing Powerwoman Boxes filled with daily essentials.

  • Afternoon Afro Future Festival

  • Night: Explore Accra Detty December festivities dancing the night away to Afrobeat and highlife music.

Day 4: Slave Tour & Cultural Immersion

  • Morning: Breakfast

  • Late Morning: Depart for the Cape Coast Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage site. where you'll embark on a powerful and educational slave tour, including visits to the Door of No Return and Elmina Castle.

  • Afternoon: Lunch at a seaside restaurant near the castles.

  • Late Evening: Visit to Polo Beach Club for relaxation and beach side fun while enjoying dinner.

Day 5: Afro Beats and NYE Celebration

  • Morning: Breakfast

  • Late Morning: Participate in an Afro Beats dance class, learning energetic and rhythmic movements to the sounds of West African music.

  • Afternoon: Enjoy free time to relax or explore Accra at your leisure.

  • Night: Attend a New Year's Eve party with VIP section Theme: Metallics. Lets create our own vibe & shine into the New Year!(Recommend: Silver & Gold Metallic)

Day 6: Naming Ceremony, Free time, and Farewell Dinner

  • Morning: Breakfast

  • Late Morning: Participate in a traditional naming ceremony, where you'll receive a Ghanaian name and immerse yourself in local customs and traditions.

  • Afternoon:  Free Time To Explore galleries and studios showcasing the work of local artists or cocktails at a rooftop bar overlooking the city skyline or relaxing at Labadi Beach.

  • Evening: Farewell dinner with a theme of African attire, celebrating the end of your journey with traditional cuisine and music.

Day 7: Departure

  • Morning: Breakfast

  • Afternoon: Transfer to the airport for your departure, carrying with you memories of your unforgettable Ghana experience.

Ghana Entry Requirements

  • US passport valid for 6 months past your return date and one blank visa page.

  • Yellow fever vaccination taken at least 10 days before arrival for US passport holders.

  • Some have received a waiver for this requirement. You should consult your physician if         you believe that you may qualify for a waiver.

  • Malaria protection is highly encouraged (not required).

  • A Visa is also required for US Passport Holders to enter into Ghana. Apply 30 days prior to arrival.

  • Non-US Citizens or travelers without a US passport will need to consult their local embassy.

  • Airport: (ACC) Kotoka International Airport.

  • Local Currency: Ghanaian Cedi.



We REQUIRE purchasing travel insurance to protect you and your investment in case of an emergency. Everyone's needs are different, and you can do a search on the best travel insurance to meet your needs. Here is a list of some popular travel insurance providers.


  • All monthly payments are due the 15th of every month

  • Bi-weekly payments are due 10th and 20th of every month.

  • LATE FEES IS $25 PER PAYMENT (unless arrangements made prior)


PAYMENT PLANS: Payment plans are made to be flexible and budget friendly. If you every need to make adjustments, email us and we will accommodate you best way possible. All payments will be automatically deducted from the account that you have on file.

REFUNDS: Deposits are refundable within 30 days of purchase or 60 day prior to departure (which ever date is first). All payments after deposit to Powerwoman International are non-refundable and non-transferable. This is because Powerwoman International has contractual agreements with hotels, airlines, and other vendors that will not allow us to obtain refunds. This way, we can keep our package prices competitive and allow you to make monthly payments on your vacation. That's why we require travel insurance.

ROOMMATE MATCHING: Roommate matching is available. You will be matched with a roommate 30 days before your trip departure date.


ITINERARIES: Itineraries are subject to change in making the best decision for the group and vendor availability. Finalized itineraries are delivered to participants 30 days before the start of the trip.

NAME CORRECTION & CHANGE: Reservations must be made in your FULL NAME as it appears on your passport. Your name on your invoice MUST match your passport.

  • Name changes are allowed up until the final payment date and $100 + any vendor’s fees after the final payment date on your payment plan.
